I’ve lost track of how long it’s been since it has started raining all day. I’ve rotted in bed because it’s my favorite season and I don’t pay no mind if people will give me shit for saying it. God forbid a girl loves rainy days. Tonight the rain stopped and I’ve been craving a slurp of hot ramen broth. We went to Le Katsu again even though the last time we went there we said we’d never come back. Well what can I do? there’s nowhere else that makes decent ramen (or so-so-ish) near our place.
So I ate my words along with miso soup and cheesy pork ramen with a side of unorthodoxly sweet beef gyudon which was Lou’s order. It went without saying that whatever he’s having, I always get a spoonful or two or three. Five tops. We’ve always been like that even though he’s known me to be selfish when it comes to sharing food. I’ve always admired that about him. If I were him I’d be pissed at me. We dropped by OSave after we finished, something we weren’t able to do last time because I had an urgent business that needed to be tend to at the time.
We browsed every aisle to laugh at bootleg grocery items that were trying to sound like their original counterparts. I thought those were unique to Dali Mart but I was delightfully wrong. We laughed at NuttingHill (Nutella) and Xian’s MaLing (a Xian Lim pun perhaps? there were more but not remarkable. At the frozen goods section, lo and behold, is where I finally found Virginia’s sisig. The one so elusive in PandaMart, we were only able to buy it once. I bought two and a gallon of cookeis and creme ice cream, a favorite. We didnt know it was BYOB there so we had to chuck 2 pesos for a paper bag and pack the items ourselves. We’ve only a few minutes to walk back home before the bag basically disintegrates and it did a few blocks from our home. It was worth the inconvenience but I know now to bring a bag next time.
